Memory Making

Remember those old photo albums from your childhood?

Whether you were gathered around the family table for a holiday feast, baking with Mom, reading with Grandma, mowing the lawn on Grandpa's lap, or working on the car with Dad, the photos we hold from our past are often the reasons we remember the wonderfully unimportant but cherished events of our childhood. Nowadays, everything exists on a smartphone, a computer, a website, a cloud--thousands of photos captured that we're often too busy or too overwhelmed by to even look through again. Even worse, there's always one member of the family missing from those photos--whoever is behind the camera. Swipe through the examples below, and hit that contact button when you're ready; let's bring back the nostalgia of photo albums and create a memory-making session perfect for your family.

Home sweet home

Stephanie and James were stationed in England for a number of years, and were fortunate to find an absolutely beautiful rental to call home while they were here. As their time in the UK was coming to an end and they knew they would be saying goodbye to their little oasis, Stephanie had the brilliant plan to have some photos done as a keepsake of this part of their journey.

The greatest birthday

On the eve of returning to "normal" life, which in George's case was hospital visits and months away from home, you'd never know anything was "wrong" in these pictures--because there wasn't. On this day, he wasn't battling cancer, but battling his brother for monster trucks. He wasn't about to go back to the hospital to prepare for his stem cell transplant, but about to blow out the candles on his third birthday cake. He wasn't a little boy in isolation with just one parent with him at a time, but a little boy absolutely surrounded by all the people who love him so very dearly. There was nothing wrong on this day. George turned three, blew out 100 candles, and cancer did not win.
