About
Hi, my name is Krista
From hobbyist to professional, I have spent more than a decade mastering my craft so that choosing my services is a sound investment. I use the beauty of the world around me to create the images you see; the lighting, angles, and locations I choose are all tools as important as my camera, and the know-how to appropriately deploy these tools is a skill that only comes with years of experience.
When I'm not burning the candle at both ends as a photographer, I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. I am a lover of food, travel, and sunshine, and my door is always open to kind-hearted and interesting people.
Just a little about me
I was born in Connecticut, grew up in Maine, and lived in North Carolina before moving to England in 2010.
I'm a dog person, but I love all animals. My best friend is my Annie girl (I even birthed my daughter at home so that my dog could be there for it); she's sometimes with me while I'm shooting and always with me when I'm editing.
I prefer tea over coffee, late nights & late mornings, and my perfect day has good food, great company, and not a lot else going on. The occasional outing with awesome people keeps my social needs topped up, but I truly enjoy living a simple, quiet life.
Being a mom is my favorite job, my biggest accomplishment, and my greatest joy.
My husband is English, so I'm fairly certain I'll remain here in the UK forever. The heartache of getting attached to a photographer just for her to move out of the country will not be a factor with me.
How long should we expect to wait for our photos?
Clients booking regular photo sessions typically see their preview galleries within 7 days. Wedding clients typically see theirs within 14 days. Mini sessions vary within the same window.
Do you cover areas outside of Norfolk?
Yes! I regularly use a handful of scenic locations in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. If you're further afield, anything within the UK but over 30 miles from me is priced at just £1 per mile (50p per mile each way).
Do you work with special needs children?
Absolutely, yes. If your child requires a different approach to get the amazing family photos you're after, let me know and we'll do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Do you work with dogs?
Yes! I love adding your four-legged child to the mix when it comes to photos. Sometimes it's good to bring a friend or relative along that can hang onto your pupper for the shots that don't require it (or if he/she is camera shy), but that is totally your call.
Do you shoot internationally?
I currently cover the UK and my home state of Maine, but I absolutely love to travel and I'm happy to work out plans for your special day.
What should we wear?
Gone are the days of everyone turning up in matching outfits for every session (except for Christmas jammies--that's still totally loved). Google is your best friend on this one: go to Google Images, type in the season of your session and "family photo outfits," and behold the countless incredible combinations that dozens of people have put together in handy idea boards on the web. It will add a pop of variety to your shoot and make every member of your family shine like the wonderful individual they are. In addition to that, comfortable footwear is great for outdoor sessions and cozy socks are wonderful for indoor ones. Just make sure you choose something you'll enjoy seeing in a picture for the rest of time because there's a good chance your feet will be in some of the photos.
